Not all F2P games are Pay to Win. Planetside 2 for one only charges you real money for cosmetic items or weapons (but not weapon upgrades). Depends on how the developer employs the F2P model will determine if it'll work or not.
Truly a Masterpiece...
Well done Naughty Dog
@JokesOnYou I haven't had the chance to play Halo 4 or Forza Horizon (although I did play Forza 4) but I bet they're good games, but since when was Gran Turismo in decline? Last I checked GT5 is well regarded as the best racing simulator you can buy on consoles. I don't know, you gotta explain your logic to me there, I just don't see it.
And didn't PD just say GT5 sold over 10 million copies a few weeks ago?
I was expecting a fully-fledged expansion with singleplayer content and new multiplayer modes.
But then again, this is Crytek we're talking about here. Even Crysis Warhead with all of its content costed only $10 more than this multiplayer map dlc...
That's good news
:)
For racing games; simulation games in particular, a high framerate is a necessity.
Oddly enough, I stopped playing just before the 1.04 update was released, but played all the way from since the Beta from Infamous. I've only heard bits from what was changed, but it sounds like there was less emphasis on power-weapon play.
??? I've put close to 100 hours into Diablo 3 on PC and I'm happy with the console announcement. I can't wait to try out the full-screen co-op; it'll take me back to the fun days of reeking havoc in Gauntlet Legends with 3 of my buddies
What are you talking about? Naughty Dog is far from cocky if you ask me. Even if they weren't so humble like you claim, the quality they put into each of their games has lauded them to be one of the best studios in the industry, regardless.
And what's wrong with trying to change the industry? I applaud ND on their endeavors to continuously progress the industry through innovation and creativity, and would sincerely hope their attitude could inspire other studios to ...
"I think it was nearly 100 hours of game play to unlock 1 gun and a couple attachments."
Wow that's a total load of BS if I've ever heard it and not even remotely true.
@MadMax No, I think he meant Fox News
Not true in all cases, some older games used to be pushed back so that they could fix those issues.
how can you hate an engine?
Gotta agree about the course generator; it may be limited but it add so much re playability seeing what people can come up with. I can't wait for the next GT game that will hopefully come with a more complete editor, allowing us to edit topography, weather, tracks etc...
read this again:
"Rockstar's track record shows that they release their GTA games to console first and then PC"
sounds excellent I can't wait to play this game!
hey man head over to gtplanet we organize races there nonstop
1) tekken 6 sold 3.58 mil across 3 platforms, PS3 360 AND psp.
2) Tekken Tag 2 was released two weeks before DOA5, and based on doa's sales, it isn't really threatening TTT2.
3)The original Tekken Tag game sold 4 million on one platform, despite being a "spin-off game." It's currently the third best selling Tekken game in the franchise.
@Lulz_Boat
Wait, are you suggesting that RS is using the devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy to delay the trailer for GTAV, even though their own building (and probably the homes of many of their employees) has been without power since Tuesday... ALL in the interest of hyping up their game which isn't due till mid next year?
"shooting style from Max Payne 3"
^^Oooh, I can't wait, the shooting mechanics in MP3 were excellent
